its a shame

These days a new storm has taken the cricketing world by surprise- T20. But what has surprised Indians is the kind of hostility shown by cricketers towards their fellow cricketers. Yes i'm talking about the Bhajji-Sreeshanth row. Such intense is the competition in this T-20 that it has turned friends into enemies. But the sorry thing is that it has exposed the these two players and has vindicated the rest of the cricket playing nations. Bhajji's suspension has only vindicated the Australian media's stand about Bhajji. Today the South African coach Mickey Arthur has come in open accusing both-Sreeshanth and Harbhajan of insulting two South African cricketers. Though these players have a history of misbehaving but always it was in response to the provocation from the other end. They were supported by the board and the officials always rallied behind them in their support but the latest incident is a sort of embarrassment for everybody in India.

Today everybody who is not associated with T-20 especially the South Africans and Australians are saying not only to themselves but to the world that these players were the real culprits in all the controversies involving them and their players. Peoples memories are always short hence they can say that. But it is up to these Indian cricketers and the board officials to restore the image of Indian cricket. The damage has already been done but ways must be found to minimize the damage. Unless dealt with wisdom one thing is sure that these players has weakened their case any future controversy.
