One day i was watching a TV show on a news channel and what i saw was totally horrifying. I was shell shocked to see that a baby who was barely a months old had sustained more than 30 knife injuries. It was probably dumped by someone. But what was more surprising was how far a human can go to remove unwanted things out of his/her way. That very day I met an extremely GOD fearing person who was a firm believer of the adage that one has to pay for his sins either here or once he reaches to the GOD after his death. I narrated the incident to him and asked- if what he is saying is true then why is that people go on committing crimes and hurting people. He probably had no answer. I asked him if God punishes for wrong deeds then why doesn't he steps in to stop the crime before it happens? That man grew nervous. With a series of similar questions he became extremely agitated and terminated the discussion abruptly.
The moral of the story is whoever that God may be, you are blessed with a logical mind. It is better to use logic to arrive at any conclusion. There is no point in just believing somebody who himself do not know. I have found many people, the so called spiritual leaders, telling such things. They base their statement on things which are codified by someone who is supposed to posses divine power. What the common of today does not understands is that over the period of time everything changes and this is applicable to the religious texts as well. These so called sacred texts too get influenced by different spiritual leaders. That is the reason why we have so many different versions of the same religion.
